“Stillness Over Bled” captures the quiet majesty of Slovenia’s iconic Lake Bled, where the historic island church rises gently from the misty waters, cradled by distant mountains and reflected in the calm of the lake below. This piece was inspired by the early morning light, where cool tones and soft textures tell a story of timeless peace and atmospheric depth.

Painted as part of a focused study on lake reflections and atmospheric perspective, this work explores how form, light, and subtle distortion shape the way we see distant mountains mirrored in water.
