BENEATH THE SURFACE: ADVANCED CIVILISATION 24 X 36"

Original Oil painting by Simona Nedeva Art

Matt Varnished

Year of Creation: 2026

Country of origin: United Kingdom

Inspired by Ancient Egypt, monumental architecture and the mysteries of ancient civilisations, this painting imagines a hidden world beneath the pyramids -one where time, energy and the universe appear interconnected.

Above the surface, a golden landscape offers a familiar view of ancient Egypt. Below, an intricate realm unfolds, watched over by four towering guardians. At its centre, a suspended sphere becomes an imagined source of energy, linking the world above to the world below. Behind it, a celestial dial introduces the passage of time and the rhythms of cosmic cycles.

Together, these elements raise a question: what if an ancient civilisation understood connections between time, energy and the universe that we have yet to discover?

Rather than presenting a historical reconstruction, the painting creates space for curiosity, speculation and personal interpretation. The guardians suggest protection rather than threat, lending this mysterious world a sense of calm and sacred presence.

Beneath the Surface: Advanced Civilisation invites you to look beyond the familiar, explore what might lie hidden, and imagine what these guardians could be protecting.

The painting surface is protected with a coat of matt varnish. The painting is unframed.
